It just wasn't our day: our Mosman Whales were downed by Sri Lanka Lions on a tough day.
Sri Lanka Lions batted first and reached 10/245 from 39.2 overs. Russel Ingram made a fine 53 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Michael Hall was the pick of our bowlers with four for 39. Graham Turner claimed two for 29 as well.
In reply, the group were all out for 142 in 33.5 overs. Ash Perrott made a valuable 36 off 39 balls. Sam Elvitigala was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with three for 7.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
On to the next one.
