There was no joy for our Mosman Whales, who lost out to Warringah Classics at Rawson Oval Mosman on Sunday.
Warringah Classics batted first and put 5/220 on the board from 40 overs. Simon Waddington made 32 for the visitors. Matt White made a useful 32 for our opponents. With the ball, Andrew Varasdi did the damage, claiming two for 28 off seven overs.
Chasing 221, we reached 9/206 from 40 overs. Fifty for Paul Watkins, who finished with 66 off 49 balls. Graham Turner also got among the runs with 36 off 32 balls. Varasdi also got among the runs with 31 off 17 balls. Giles Park was the main threat for the visitors, taking four for 47. Ian Jones took three for 13 for our opponents.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
We'll go again.
